Executive Director, Stacy Bishop

Appointed in October 2025, Stacy is no stranger to the Open Arms ministry —she has been a faithful supporter and board member for nearly three years. Now, she steps into this leadership role with a deep sense of purpose and a heart devoted to serving women and families through compassion and faith.

“For nearly three years, I have had the privilege of serving on the board at Open Arms,” Stacy shares. “I have always felt there was a deeper level of service for me to fulfill within the ministry. Supporting and protecting life through the love of Christ has long felt like my calling, and I now see this as a fulfillment of that purpose.”

You may already know Stacy from her years as co-owner of Hendersonville Tents, where she led operations and built lasting partnerships across the community. She also founded Engaging Hope/Women of Warfare, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and serving underserved communities through faith-based outreach.

Since the 1990s, Open Arms Pregnancy Center has offered free, confidential support for women and families facing pregnancy-related challenges—whether through help with unplanned pregnancies, material assistance, or compassionate guidance after the loss of a child. Our mission remains simple and steadfast: “Open Arms’ ministry is love; the aim is to support and guide, the purpose is to serve God and preserve life.”

Education and awareness remain central to that mission. As Stacy explains, “Many people do not know that we offer Abortion Pill Reversal (APR), which gives women who have taken the abortion pill an opportunity to reverse its effects and continue their pregnancy. We want to share that message of hope with our community—that there are still options, and help is available.”

Stacy is deeply grateful for the faithful support Open Arms receives from local churches and ministry partners. “Henderson County churches have been vital in supporting the mission of Open Arms,” she says. “I hope to continue strengthening those relationships and connecting with ministry leaders to help educate and equip congregations to walk alongside families in need.”

As she looks ahead, Stacy feels encouraged by the community’s shared commitment to preserving life and extending grace. “Our clients may not be ready to walk into a church, but they come to us—and we can meet them where they are, offering hope when life feels hopeless.”

Board chairman Bill Michael adds, “It has been a blessing to serve alongside Stacy these past three years and witness her heart for this ministry. Her love for people and her unwavering faith make her the right person to guide Open Arms into its next chapter.”
